Our Quality Approach

Quality / safety / environment (qse)

At the heart of our commitment
Key to our development strategy, our QSE division enables us to listen to your expectations and satisfactions. We monitor legislative issues so that we can anticipate your needs: traceability, GMO-free certified products, certified origin and/or provenance, compliance with the International Oenological Codex, etc.

A genuinely proactive policy drives our strong commitment:

  • renewal of our ISO 22000 certification since it was first obtained in 2009;
  • achievement of Organic certification by ECOCERT for our organic products;
  • up-to-date investment in production, logistics and IT to optimise conditions of hygiene, preservation and traceability.

Certification ISO 22000

MARTIN VIALATTE® has for many years followed a quality approach based on recognised standards. After being certified ISO 9001 in 1999, a quality management system, MARTIN VIALATTE® decided in 2009 to step up to ISO 22000, a food safety management system in the food chain. MARTIN VIALATTE®’s goal was to better meet its customers’ expectations with regard to food safety, by demonstrating its control of potential hazards and by permanently providing safe, satisfactory products. As a result, production, packaging and storage of MARTIN VIALATTE® oenological products are now certified ISO 22000.

TRAINING

Team information

All the women and men who make up our teams, in particular those who work on our production lines, have gone through rigorous training programs on hygiene. In line with the requirements of ISO 22000, we ensure that they receive the answers to all the security-related questions they may have. Our system is also regularly assessed and updated with the collaboration and involvement of every single individual.

COFRAC ACCREDITATION

We are equipped with several laboratories to conduct physico-chemical tests on wines, as well as a tasting room, tools without which we would not be able to carry out our technical support and prescription activity. Recognised for their reliability, some of our laboratories are COFRAC (Comité Français d’Accréditation) certified, and also take part in comparative testing between different laboratories. The laboratories, which specialise in analysing wine samples, are an approved export laboratory, with the capacity to issue certificates of analysis adapted to the regulations of each importing country. They are also equipped to conduct tests on other products such as vinegars, ciders, fermented fruit beverages and spirits. Our AFNOR-certified tasting room is an invaluable asset that effectively complements the laboratory.

TRACEABILITY

MARTIN VIALATTE®’s oenological products are fully traceable thanks to the numbering of batches – for finished products as well as for raw materials – and the efficiency of its traceability ERP system.
The batch number indicated on each product makes it possible to closely track every step of the process: raw materials used in production, suppliers, production conditions, transit warehouses, etc.
Numbering batches of raw materials also ensures control over the traceability of products manufactured with such materials, until it reaches the consumer.

HACCP

As part of our approach to food security (HACCP), we analyse and control the biological, physical, chemical and allergenic risks throughout the entire oenological procedure, from the moment we receive raw materials and packaging until the finished product is ready.

Meanwhile, other major recent events relating to food security included the full review of the HACCP and the application of the REACH European regulation.
